LFW: KEIKO NISHIYAMA SS16

My last year of university officially starts tomorrow, and London Fashion Week ended recently, so now is probably the best time to do a brief recap of some of the presentations I was lucky enough to go to.
Keiko Nishiyama held her SS16 presentation in the heart of Mayfair in the coveted Sketch London. Titled "LEPIDOPTERA" the collection wore it's influence on it's sleeve with embroideries of butterflies and beetles matched with beautiful combinations of bright colours and patterns.
The presentation was opened with a entrancing pair of interpretive dancers, who floated around a table delicately while their costumes spun poetically.
Below are a few images I managed to snap.

The collection was full of traditional patterns and shapes that played upon the softer side of the female form; being inspired by the butterfly, the collection focused on elegant structures and shapes to capture the grace and dainty nature of the insect. Model's had soft make-up contrasted against blocks of floral colours around the eyes.

More to come soon,
Peace and Blessings,
Andre
