LFW: VIN + OMI SS16

I've just finished my first set of lectures (whilst being incredibly hungover) and I've finally got time to post about one of my favourite shows of London Fashion Week.
Entitled 'FUTUREWOOD', Vin + Omi's SS16 collection broke away from the influence of the cyber-world and took it's inspiration from nature. With prints of tree bark, textured frills on sleeves and a dress made entirely of acrylic nails, the show was a captivating take on up-scaling materials.
I was somehow on the front-row so I managed to get some really good pictures (I think they're good, others may not agree haha).

Playing with materials such as leather and latex, the collection featured 'Rising Sun' inspired prints and form fitting silhouettes.
The collection also featured complex spirals of wood-based materials attached to the models heads whilst jewellery was used to enhance the shapes of the clothing.
Asymmetrical lines, cut-outs and pleats also gave particular pieces unusual shapes that flowed beautifully whilst the models walked.

Peace and Blessings,
Andre
